Coffee Stops in Melbourne: #6 Slater Street Bench

CAFE || ST. KILDA ROAD

Feel free to sit at any part of this cafe, the coffee bar is designed to diminish the barrier between the barista and customer. Meaning: you might have occupy the working space of the barista.

Or vise versa.

If you are sitting on the wooden bench like us, the barista would serve your coffee on the bench, like this:

Sit outdoor if you want

ESPRESSO MACHINE: La Marzocco Linea
GRINDERS: Mahlkonig EK43, Mazzer Robur

Slater Street Bench is a small coffee bar serving specialty coffee at St. Kilda Road, the Albert Park Lake (remember the racing track of Formula 1 Grand Prix?) is just a stone's throw away! We took a tram from Melbourne's iconic Fed Square and head south to Slater Street (Stop 23) in just merely a 10 minutes tram ride. The cafe is right in front of the tram line.

The cafe looks very clean and simple, almost everything in here is wooden, black or white. Menu are simple too. They make filter coffee using V60 (Australian's representative to the 2016 Dublin World Brewers Cup Competition, Devin Loong works here as head barista), milk coffee, as well as others non-coffee baverages.
