Recently F&B business in Kota Kinabalu is so happening! In July / August alone there were a number of newly opened restaurants and cafes in KK. Few more will be launched soon!
First we saw an aviation-themed restaurant newly opened in 88 Marketplace last week! Then we got a chance to try out this new French restaurant which I am going to blog now. This is the 3rd (or 4th) French restaurant in town! I guess people in KK are so hungry of new food and new restaurant! People are seeing an increasing demand in KK.
The Chateau Patisserie Cafe is owned and headed by Award Winning Chef Frederic Chateau from France. Chef Frederic won the Fonterra Pastry Chef of The Year 2013 Award during his career with Galaxy Macau - then he decided to move to Sabah to open up his own restaurant. I haven't got chance to ask him this private question yet, which I will find out during my next visit, soon *blink*

I heard that the Chateau Patisserie Cafe's specialty is their desserts, I was not surprise with this due to the chef's background. During my next visit I would like to try their breakfast which is served from 10AM to 2PM (Price range from RM12-RM16), Creme Brulee and Apple Crumble.
