[Event] Le Meridien’s Discover Éclair, Sparkling @ The Lounge, Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu

Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu hosted the "Discover Éclair, Sparkling" event at the hotel's lounge, on Friday evening. Among invited guests were KK's Bloggers and Instagrammer (Is this the correct term?), as well as VIPs from the Le Méridien's Starwood Preferred Guest Program (SPG®).

SPG® is a guest redeption programme for all hotel brands under the Starwood Group, such as Le Méridien, Sheraton, Four Points, Westin and 5 others hotel brands. For the full list of hotels, kindly refer HERE.

During the evening we were welcomed by Ms Jacqueline and her colleagues (many of them!) from Le Meridien KK. Free-flow of Éclair and Sparkling / Cocktails were served, while the hotel's Pastry Chefs showed to the guests how to make éclairs. I was told that a French éclairs is made with pâte à choux, which is a light dough, baked to crisp outside and hollow inside. The chef of course did not briefed the crowd from the dough, but showcased how to fill the pastry cream and the decoration part with fondant icing.

Not easy, trust me

Different types of éclairs has different filling and decoration top. I have tried the Coffee Éclair which was stuffed with rich coffee cream and topped with icing and crispy coffee bean. I am a coffee lover and I loved the éclair.

The "Projito", which is the "mutant" version of mojito with added Prosecco Sparkling White Wine from France and Calamansi Juice, extremely refreshing with sharp acidity
