Dapur Ibu D'Yah @ Cyber Square, Kota Kinabalu

As I mentioned on my previous post that suddenly everywhere start selling Ayam Penyet in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This simple dish is "trending" quickly around the town, however not every shop is up to the standard. Some dining environment is so terrible bad despite the price tag is a hefty RM10 - no fan, no proper table, bad hygiene... But this doesn't stop me from trying out, especially if someone told me its better than the other one! No one can stop a foodiot! We risk our life in searching for good food LOL

Dapur Ibu D'Yah serves Nusantara, or Indonesian Food. I forgot to copy down the menu but we tried their signature Ayam Penyet ("Punched" Chicken, or just simply: chicken rice with condiments), both roasted (bakar) and fried version.

Ayam Penyet Bakar with Nasi Bakar

The chicken is marinated in soy sauce, thats why its burnt on the outside!

[KKFBBF] Bintulu Korean Restaurant @ Lintas Plaza, Kota Kinabalu

I am not sure if Bintulu Korean Restaurant has anything to do with Sarawak's Bintulu, I should've ask the restaurant owner -- Mr Han when I saw him just now! I believed this Korean BBQ restaurant has existed for couple of years at Lintas Plaza, they are located just above the famous Kedai Kopi Jia Siang (家香生肉面)! What to order at Bintulu Korean Restaurant? BBQ pork, beef, japchae (fried potato glass noodle with vege) and pajeon (Korean Pancafe) are among the popular dishes here, but sometimes Mr Han would added some new dishes to the menu, for example, the lemon pork (BBQ) which we tried today!

It means: Calm and relax

This is the inner part of the restaurant, where patron are requested to remove their shoes before enter

5 types of Banchan were served including kimchi

M.S. Onion (RM7) This is really good but seriously I don't know how to call it, maybe its scallion, maybe not! We eat this together with lettuce and BBQ Meat. Anyone know what does it called in Korean?

Jab Chae (RM22)

Lemon Pork (RM32 / portion of 3 pcs)

Shisamo (RM18)

Take the staircase just besides Kedai Kopi Jia Xiang to second floor, you will definitely see this signboard!

Bintulu Korean Restaurant (韩国馆) is one of the participant in the UPCOMING Kota Kinabalu Food & Bakery Bake Fiesta (KKFBBF), on 26 Apr & 27 Apr 2014, at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall. Entrance are FREE so do come to eat & play!
