Just came across with this newly opened restaurant and beer garden nearby my neighbourhood, La Vintage Bar & Grill offers diners some western and local fusion food experience with fabulous environment. As suggested by its name, this restaurant is filled with vintage themed decoration such as phonograph, an old Mini Cooper, some vintage toys and other collectibles.

Appetizer: Deep Fried Camembert Cheese (RM22.00)
Camembert is a type of soft cheese with a bit bitter taste, perfectly match with the sweet Cranberry Sauce

Grilled Lamb Chop (RM32)
It is best if served in medium well instead of well-done

The La Vintage Club Sandwich (RM16)
A bit too dry, too ordinary but best as snack

Hahaha, I found the name of this restaurant quite funny. The newly opened K.K See You Seafood Restaurant located at Kepayan Point (Senheng Electricals Store, I-Lotus Seafood, Hotel Eminent), Jalan Pintas-Penampang here. They are specialised in Seafood Noodle, among others are the signature dish -- Braised Fish Belly and Fried Omelet with Oyster. Don't missed the Braised Fish Belly here, it is one of the best fish dishes in KK!

[RESTAURANT'S STRESS TEST REPORT]

It was the second day since the opening of the first Nando's outlet in East Malaysia, BigFish & I became the victim of their incompetent kitchen staff / chef. We waited for more than 1 hour before our food came, that's not included our waiting time in the queue. For me, it is alright to wait in a long queue even for 1 hour for some great food, but it was totally unacceptable when we found out that other people who came in later than us, were already eating. My friend who reached later with her family, managed to get their food within half an hour!

Luckily our bad experience here were compensated by the equally frustrated but professional waitstaff. I remember how helpless they were when one of them found out our orders were still pending in the kitchen.

Thanks to the signature PERI-PERI SAUCE, the food at this newly opened branch was WITHIN EXPECTATION.

We were travelling in Singapore but instead of trying out others delicacies, we couldn't resist the spiciness of Peri-Peri offered by Nando's Flame Grilled Chicken at Bugis Junction here. Peri-Peri Sauce is definitely the biggest attraction here, choose from Mild, Hot, Extra Hot, Lemon & Herbs and Garlic, one can decide based on your ability.

Probably you can find the best Nasi Bakar and Ayam Penyet in Kota Kinabalu here at Warung Bandung. Go straight for Nasi Bakar -- fragrance rice wrapped in banana leaf, stuffed with some tempeh (fermented soy bean) and spices. The chilli paste that comes with the Ayam Penyet (roasted chicken) make the biggest deal, do remember to ask for extra of it!

Food Opera @ Ion Orchard, Singapore

Food Opera is one of the latest flagship from Food Republic, who provide a revolutionize solution to ordinary food court. Barred the heavily crowded and extremely noisy environment at the dining hall, Food Opera is carefully crafted assembled a art museum with random sculptures and art displays with kitchen furniture you can expect from a fine dining. Unfortunately I was not allowed to take photo here, you know, same like an art gallery. BTW we ordered a plate of Hainan Chicken Rice and a Singapore Laksa here as our brunch.

The gravy was very thick and rich with coconut's scent.

Yay!!!

Yes, there are some degree of difference between our version and Singapore's Laksa and Hainan Chicken Rice but most importantly for me is, whose one is more delicious!

Nasi Kandar Beratur @ Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang

No where you can find Nasi Kandar starts their business only at 10pm and still getting long queue even after midnight. This legendary Nasi Kandar Beratur at Penang opened since 1943, longer than any other famous chain Nasi Kandar restaurants in Penang and Malaysia. Curry dishes is an art by itself, so do try out different kind of curries here choose from Chicken, Mutton, Fish and vegetables. Just an advice from Foodiotkk, do not link this nasi kandar with any other mamak's restaurants which serve Nasi Briyani, palm-size sotong goreng, ayam goreng berempah and quill, Nasi Kandar Beratur is still maintaining its original recipe and mode of business since many years ago, that is, a nasi (rice) for the lower income group who work as labourer.

It was raining when we reached here,  but still have people eating Nasi Kandar.
You will never see this during a fine day, the line is long and the restaurant is all packed like sardines.
