Mai Xuân Cảnh - Vietnamese Street Food @ Nguyễn Du, Saigon

Found this Vietnamese street food near Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon, Mai Xuân Cảnh is famous for the duck tongue but I didn't know that until recently when I tried to compile my Vietnamese food trail! We decided to have our supper there because of the number people sitting in front of the restaurant, who were eating some BBQ meat (not too sure what was that) and noodle. Looks yummy! We didn't really know what was written on the menu though, as there is no single English word! Luckily one of my friend managed to get us some BBQ chicken wings and drumstick after a few trial!

5min walk from the Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral

This is how they BBQ

You might scream over the hygiene of the kitchen!!!

Many beautiful chicken hanging

This is the menu that I mentioned just now

Pickled cucumber and dipping sauce for the BBQ

Address and contact details

Unexpectedly delicious BBQ chicken drumstick, so tender inside!

I can say this is one of the best chicken wing I ever had, however the chicken doesn't have much meat

People still eating during late night here

The food here are pretty expensive, we paid almost RM200 for a light meal of 5 pax. The bill included our beer (one person each) but alcoholic drink is very cheap here!
