Char Siew （叉烧）, or Char Sao, is the most popular Cantonese-style char-grilled pork with sweet sauce. Char Siew is good with rice or noodle, and it often paired with Siew Yuk （烧肉）, or Roasted Pork, Roasted Chicken and Duck. Taste and outlook of Char Siew is a little different from area to area, some people don't really char-grilled, but overly marinated in red food-coloring and pan fried to cook. I preferred the really charred (barbecued) type and better with a little burnt at the side.
This newly opened Char Siew restaurant at Taman Suria Penampang, the Restoran Shekinah (辉煌城烧腊馆) totally meet my expectation for a good Char Siew, better still, the "dried" noodle is served with deep fried pork fat (猪油渣)! I must feel guilty for risking my cholesterol and TG level to the border line, after taking this noodle! Hahaha!!!

Although Restoran Shekinah just opened a few weeks ago, their patrons here are quite a number already. Their food totally impressed me, given the fact that the chefs / restaurant owners came from KL, they bring their recipe and some raw material from KL too! So, for those who are craving for KL-style or Cantonese-style Char Siew (BBQ Pork), do try at Restoran Shekinah here!
